If Verity appears, the base mod or add-on loaded. Next identify the provider: Groq cloud, Ollama local, or a Bedrock project backend. Check authentication, service/model availability, quota, or the project status without pasting API keys into a website or public log.

Groq path

A 401/unauthorized error points to the local key or configuration; 429 points to a limit. Generate and manage the key only at Groq, then enter it only where the maintainer tutorial instructs.

Ollama path

Confirm Ollama is running on the same computer, a compatible model exists, and the maintainer's local setup is selected. Connection refused at localhost:11434 is a local service problem, not a reason to redownload Verity.

Bedrock path

Verity BE documents Beta APIs, cheats, and a debugger/connect command; it also says backend failures can produce ellipses. PnTMC's project uses its own behavior. Follow the selected project's support channel, not a mixed guide.
