Verity mod download: choose the verified project

Four download starting points

Choose by edition and supported runtime before opening a file page.

Recommended Java download

For the established route, open Verity JE and use its Install action. The tracked file is verity-5.7.4.jar for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. CurseForge can create a new compatible profile and prevent selecting an incompatible game version or loader.

Java 1.21.1 decision

Do not download the old Verity JE NeoForge file just because 1.21.1 is newer. That branch is deprecated by its maintainer. Verity Revamped is a separate project for 1.21.1 NeoForge and requires GeckoLib; compare the projects before creating a fresh instance.

Bedrock and mobile download

PnTMC Bedrock and Verity BE are different add-ons with different maintainers, releases, setup flows, and support channels. Confirm the project ID used by your tutorial, import only its current MCADDON, enable its required packs and Beta APIs, and test in a copied world.

Five checks before opening a file

Confirm the project ID, maintainer, edition, supported game version, and loader or import method. Then read dependencies and the current maintainer warning. A matching title or thumbnail does not replace these fields.

Files to reject

Reject an APK advertised as the Java mod, a renamed ZIP, a MediaFire or anonymous mirror without project continuity, a file whose loader differs from your instance, or any page that hides the maintainer and project ID behind multiple ad buttons.

Why direct mirrors are worse

A bare file hides the release history, dependency relations, deprecation warnings, comments, current support link, and license context. The project page preserves provenance and gives the maintainer control over removal or correction.
