Verity mod: real projects, current versions, and fixes

What are you trying to do?

Most people come here to answer one question: was the original real, where is the download, which version works, how do I install it, or why did it break? Start with the row that matches your problem.

Current Verity projects

These are independent projects. A newer Minecraft version or later upload date does not make one the replacement for another.

Original film versus playable projects

ThatMob's video descriptions label the series as scripted short films and state that there was no original public mod. The CurseForge projects are real community adaptations created afterward. This distinction explains why both 'the mod is fake' and 'I downloaded a working mod' can be true in different contexts.

The simplest working setup

For most Java players, create a clean Forge 1.20.1 profile in the CurseForge App and install Verity JE from project 1591438. If you need Java 1.21.1, compare Revamped with the old, deprecated JE NeoForge branch. On Bedrock, import one identified MCADDON into a copy of your world.

When Verity loads but does nothing

First verify that the selected project appears in the correct profile or world. Then check the AI layer: provider selection, credential validity, quota, local Ollama service, or project-specific backend. Voice is a later layer; do not rotate keys when the loader itself failed.

Latest tracked changes

The September 4 source check confirms Verity JE 5.7.4 as the stable Java default and records 6.0.0 beta 9 for Forge 1.20.1, listed September 3. PnTMC Bedrock 4.0.0 and the Verity BE 4.0.0 hotfix both target 26.40. The update board keeps stable, beta, Java, and Bedrock channels separate.

Download buttons lead to the maintainer’s project page. MMB Guide does not host JAR, MCADDON, ZIP, or APK files, and it never asks for an API key. If project details conflict, we show the uncertainty instead of guessing.
